The City of East Point is a community in Fulton County with a population of 43,000 residents. The city is nearly 14 square miles, and lies about 7 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta. East Point is easily accessible from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, as well as public transportation and major thoroughfares. East Point gets its name from the Atlanta & West Point Railroad; it’s the spot where the railroad ends in the east.
